Relationship of the Founders
Having initially met while classmates at Taiwan’s Tunghai University and subsequently working at a footwear trading company, the three founders developed an exceptionally strong partnership through their almost 40 years working together. Their distinct personalities, combined with their complementary strengths and ability to work seamlessly together, earned them the moniker “The Iron Triangle” across the footwear industry.
Known for his generosity and fairness, Jimmy Chen was a pioneering entrepreneur and the driving force behind Stella International.
Under his leadership, the company expanded rapidly, establishing a strong manufacturing presence in mainland China, and achieving a successful listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2007. Driven by his vision, Stella grew into a global leader in high-end footwear manufacturing, supplying some of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands.
Jimmy’s business philosophy was simple yet profound: "Make great shoes, and good fortune will follow." While cost-cutting was the industry norm, he championed a "Value-Added Philosophy" (加法哲學), believing that sustainable success comes from investing in quality, innovation, and collaboration rather than merely reducing costs. This approach created a win-win ecosystem for customers, suppliers, employees, and the company
Jimmy passed away in 2008, but his legacy of integrity, empathy, and excellence continue to shape Stella’s culture. His visionary leadership transformed the company into a global footwear powerhouse, and his influence remains deeply embedded in its culture and success.

CEO of Stella International, 2007 - 2008
Chairman of the Board, 2008 – 2019
Known for his keen sense of aesthetic and commitment to craftmanship, Jack Chiang is a co-founder of Stella International and a revered figure in the global footwear industry.
From the earliest days of the company, Jack was determined to build a manufacturing group that would set a new benchmark for luxury footwear. While many peers focused on cutting costs, Jack’s vision for Stella was to make the "Bentley and Lamborghini of shoes". His unwavering belief in quality, discipline, and respect for the product became the foundation of Stella’s corporate culture and reputation.
Jack played a pivotal role in Stella’s expansion into mainland China, establishing its first factory in Dongguan, Guangdong in 1990 and building one of the largest R&D teams in Asia at the time to position Stella at the forefront of footwear innovation. While he upheld non-negotiable standards for product quality, he also deeply valued the people behind the craft. He believed in mentoring and nurturing talent, and maintains strong relationships with many of Stella’s most senior craftsmen to this day, a testament to his genuine respect for the artisans behind the making.
More than just an entrepreneur, Jack was a visionary and mentor. Through his leadership, he shaped Stella into a company where quality, craftsmanship, and people-centered values define the way business is done.
